Teeth alignment treatment restores the alignment of your smile. This technique is developed to serve as a more comfortable substitute to the traditional braces, giving you the smile you’ve always desired.
If you’re looking to straighten your teeth, clear aligners are just for you. They are comfortable, removable, nearly invisible, and, most importantly, they have no impact whatsoever on your daily life: you can eat what you want, brush and floss as usual, and get straighter teeth without anyone knowing that you’re in treatment.
The duration of the treatment is evaluated according the correction required. Minor cases of misalignment are usually treated within 6 months, while moderate cases (majority of cases) usually take from 9 to 14 months. Severe cases can take more than 2 years.
Regardless of your age, adult or adolescent, the clear aligners method is recommended for you if:

– You feel you’re not comfortable enough with braces to undergo traditional orthodontic treatment;

Prerequisites
A consultation is necessarily in order to evaluate the bone, teeth, and gum conditions, and to discuss various treatment options according to your needs. This consultation session takes about an hour.
Data Collection and Treatment Plan
When the suggested treatment plan is agreed upon, another session of about an hour is scheduled, in order to collect relevant data from you. During this session, your mouth and teeth are photographed and x-rayed, dental impressions are taken for the creation of a 3D model, which will be used to design your aligners. The installation of the clear aligners takes place within a month of the data collection.
Follow-up
Each of the aligners is worn for 10 days (and nights), except during meals. Control visits are scheduled every 12 weeks.
Once the teeth are perfectly aligned, you will only have to wear retention shells during the night for a number of years. Retention shells are essential in allowing the relaxation of the ligaments that connect the teeth, after having been stretched during the treatment.
